Start a high-demand career in the trucking industry with our comprehensive 140-hour Truck Driving Training Program. Offered through State Center’s Training Institute, this cohort-based, not-for-credit program equips you with the knowledge, hands-on skills, and confidence to earn your Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and start working in one of California’s most in-demand industries.
Program Overview
- 8-week, 140-hour training (First Two Weeks, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM); Remaining hours scheduled per student
- ELDT theory curriculum that meets all DOT requirements
- State-of-the-art simulator training for safe skill development
- Extensive behind-the-wheel training covers range and road driving
- Job placement assistance is available after program completion

Program Requirements
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Valid Class C driver’s license
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass a DOT drug screening
Advisory Notes
- The state of California requires criminal record clearance through fingerprinting when applying for licensure
- This is a fee-based program that is not-for-credit (scholarships are available)

Program Cost
- $2,995* – Registration Fees
*Scholarships are available through the Fresno County Economic Development Corporation’s Good Jobs Challenge program for those who may be unemployed or underemployed.
