Program Overview

  • State Approved: Licensed by California Laboratory Field Services
  • Training Hours: 48 hours of classroom instruction + 120 hours of clinical rotation
  • Hands-On Practice: Minimum of 100 venipunctures, 25 skin punctures, and 2 arterial observations
  • Admission Process: Due to high demand, participants are selected through a lottery system

Program Requirements

  • Mandatory Orientation: All participants must attend
  • Background Check, Drug Screen, Immunizations: Details provided at orientation
  • CPR Certification: American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers required

Advisory Notes

  • The state of California requires criminal record clearance through fingerprinting when applying for licensure as a phlebotomy technician
  • A high school diploma or GED is also required for licensure by the State
  • This is a fee-based program that is not-for-credit

Program Cost

  • $3,395* – Registration Fees

Additional third-party costs, separate from tuition, will be required for books, background checks/drug screenings, CPR, liability insurance, scrubs, testing, and other non-tuition costs (immunizations or lab tests) that may vary with student needs.

POLICIES & QUESTIONS

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations received up to five (5) working days before the course start date are refundable, minus a $25 processing fee. After that, cancellations are subject to the entire course fee. Please note that if you don’t cancel and don’t attend, you are still responsible for payment.
